Cheryl Kay Amundson, 74, of Williston, ND passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital of Williston, ND.

She was born to Charles and Eva Frasier in Plentywood, MT on November 16, 1950. She was raised and educated in Williston, ND. Graduating from Williston High School in 1968. She attended Williston State College then onto UND College in Grand Forks, ND.

LeRoy and Cheryl were married May 26, 1978 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Somehow Cheryl managed to work a full time job, raising 5 children, taking them all to practices and games along with the other motherly duties while LeRoy worked in the oilfield.

Cheryl worked for District Court before transferring to Juvenile Court. She then worked for NWHSC until her retirement.

She was a wonderful grandma and very much enjoyed her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she cherished every moment with them.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, LeRoy; children, Brad, Darby, Tim (Ashley) Stephanie (Greg), Tyler (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Austin (Alexis), Kaiden, Karter, Aubree, Quinn, Piper, Avery; great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Asher, Amiah, Alton; siblings, Deb (Alan) Fedorenko, Dick Frasier, Scott (Carol) Frasier, Val Frasier; in-laws Ruby (Ron) Sylte, Audrey (Mike) Yankee, Colleen (Rod) Johnson, Delores Amundson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Eva Frasier; grandparents, Walter and Irene Frasier, Otto and Esther Nagel; mother and father-in-law, Bernt and Ruby Amundson brother-in-law, Glenn Amundson.

Amundsen family, I am so sorry to hear of Cheryl’s passing. I always enjoyed working concessions with her at the hockey games and also cheering on our girls from the stands. She was such a kind lady. Wishing you all peace in the days ahead.
