Danny Njos, 53, of Epping, ND, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston, ND.
Danny Ray Njos was born to the beautiful sounds of the doctor singing “O Danny Boy” on January 4, 1969. He was the New Years baby in Shelby, Montana that year. He joined his parents, Kayleen and Orvin Njos and his big brother, Kalvin. Brother, Michael and sister, Carla later completed the family.
The family moved to rural Epping, North Dakota where Danny started school and became a lifelong Epping Eagle. Except for a brief time when Danny went to a trade school and lived on the East Coast, he was proud to call Epping his home. He and his brothers played basketball for Epping, they laughed so hard when they tried to fit into their old uniforms. After Epping High School closed Danny graduated from Ray High School in 1987.
Danny married Tracey Bartels in May of 1986 and to this union they had four children. They would later go their separate ways.
Danny was a hard worker and always did what he could to provide for his family. He was in the National Guard for 6 years. He worked for many years at the O.K Growers Greenhouse. He also had a water well service for several years. He worked in the oilfield and gas industry, including the past 9 1/2 years at Crestwood in Epping.
Nothing made Dan happier than being with his kids and 9 grandchildren. He was excited about number 10 due this spring! He liked to cook for his kids and grandkids and just hang out and laugh with them. He also loved the time he spent with his siblings and often had everyone in stitches. He had such a keen and witty sense of humor and everyone marveled at how well he remembered things in the past. He had the gift of finding humor and joy in almost every situation.
Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but he absolutely loved country music.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Timothy; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Danny is survived by his beloved children, Danielle (Chet) Thompson and their children, Keaton, Maya and Ryley, Jamie (Beau) Soiseth and their children, Everlee and Cohen, Shelby (Matt) Kohler and their children, Beckham, Emryn and Tescher and McKade (Faith) Njos and their child, Ellowyn; his parents, Kayleen Njos and Orvin Njos as well as his siblings, Kalvin (Tammy) Njos, Michael Njos and Carla Slette (Luke Connor) as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Blessed be his memory.
